FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate chronological age?+
Chronological age is calculated by subtracting your birthdate from a target date (usually the current date) using the calendar borrowing method. You subtract days first, then months, and finally years, borrowing from the higher unit if necessary. Our Chronological Age Calculator does this calculation automatically down to the exact day.
What is password entropy?+
Password entropy measures the complexity and strength of a password in bits. Higher entropy means it is mathematically harder for a hacker to crack via brute force. To calculate entropy, we use the formula: E = L × log2(R), where L is the password length and R is the size of the character set. Use our Password Strength Calculator to check your password.
How do I convert hours to decimal format?+
To convert minutes to decimal hours, divide the number of minutes by 60. For example, 45 minutes becomes 45 ÷ 60 = 0.75 decimal hours. This is the standard conversion used in timesheets and payroll systems. Our Timesheet Calculator simplifies this by automatically converting and summing your shift hours.
