Are these tools really free?
Yes. Every tool on this page is free to use with no account, no email address and no watermark on what you download. The site is paid for by advertising, not by locking the download button.
What is the difference between a tool and a calculator?
A calculator gives you a number. A tool gives you something you keep: a PDF invoice, a compressed image, a formatted block of JSON, a password. The two work together, for example the freelance rate calculator works out what to charge and the invoice generator turns it into a document you can send.
Do my files or text get uploaded anywhere?
Tools marked "Runs in your browser" do all of their work inside the page, so what you type or open never leaves your device. That includes the QR code generator, which builds the code on your device instead of asking an image service to draw it, so a Wi-Fi password or a private link stays with you. A tool only goes out without the badge when it has to call an outside service, and its page will say so.
When will the tools marked "In development" be ready?
They are being built one at a time and each one is published when it is finished, so there is no fixed date. A tool only moves to the available list once it does the whole job, including the file download. Where a calculator already covers part of the task, the card links to it so there is something useful to do today.
Do the tools work on a phone?
Yes. They run in any current browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to install. Work that involves large files, such as combining many scans into one PDF, will be quicker on a computer because the processing happens on your own device.
Can I ask for a tool that is not listed here?
Yes. Send a note through the contact page describing what you need to get done. Requests that many people share, and that can be built to run in the browser, are the ones most likely to be added.
